Simone Fulmer Gaus is a nationally recognized plaintiff trial lawyer who tries complex cases on behalf of policyholders and injured individuals against insurance companies and other powerful defendants. With nearly three decades of experience, she focuses her practice on insurance bad-faith litigation, first-party insurance coverage disputes, catastrophic injury cases, and high-stakes civil litigation.
While attending the University of Oklahoma College of Law, Simone worked in the general counsel’s office of a life and health insurance company. That early experience provided her with firsthand insight into how insurers evaluate claims, manage risk, and structure defenses. Since 1998, she has used that knowledge exclusively to represent policyholders — holding insurance companies accountable when they fail to honor their contractual and statutory obligations.
Simone is widely recognized for her work in insurance coverage and bad-faith litigation and regularly presents seminars on these topics throughout Oklahoma and nationally. After a close family member sustained a serious traumatic brain injury in a car wreck, she expanded her practice to include catastrophic injury cases, deepening her commitment to individuals and families facing life-altering harm.
In 2014, Simone co-founded Fulmer Sill with a clear purpose: to build a plaintiff-focused trial firm structured for complex, high-stakes litigation. The firm emphasizes disciplined preparation, strategic clarity, and collaborative case development in every matter.
Simone is also the author of The Set-Up: Build What Matters. Fix What’s Broken. Finally Make Your Law Firm Work. In addition to speaking on insurance bad-faith litigation, she presents nationally on law firm leadership, operational structure, and sustainable trial-firm growth.
