Chris has tried more than 30 civil trials and taken more than 1,000 depositions. He has 10 reported appellate cases and has participated in more than 100 administrative hearings in his capacity as deputy general counsel for the Oklahoma Health Care Authority from 2006 to 2013.
He is a civil practice trial attorney admitted to practice law in the state of Oklahoma in December of 1989. He originally practiced in Chicago, Ill., from 1983 until moving to Oklahoma. He maintains his Illinois license to practice. Chris was also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the 7th and 10th United States Courts of Appeals, the Trial Bar of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and in the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Western, and Northern districts of Oklahoma.
Chris is trained and NITA certified as a trial practice instructor. He has taught Trial Practice to law students and lawyers in programs sponsored by the ABA, AAJ, OBA, OAJ and NITA. He has prepared pleadings, motions, and briefs, and appeared in Trial in State and Federal courts continuously in his 40 years of practice.
Since returning to private practice in 2013 with the Sill law Group and Fulmer Sill, Chris has participated as co-lead counsel in the successful resolution of several Mass Tort Cases including the successful 2020 settlement of cases on behalf of fifteen hundred Round up cancer victims and the 2022 Four-million-dollar settlement of a wrongful death trucking case involving complex foreign ownership and franchisor liability issues.
Currently, Chris devotes a substantial portion of his practice to Social Justice litigation in multiple State and Federal jurisdictions in cases involving police misconduct, prisoners’ rights and environmental tort cases.
